Rules
The following constitutes “NWA’s Next Rock Jock” Contesting Rules, both on-air and off-air, for KXNA-FM, (Hereinafter “station”).
- All station contests are open to persons eighteen (18) years of age or older, being residents of the United States. Employees of the station, participating sponsors and their advertising agencies, employees of other broadcast companies, and members of the immediate family or cohabitants of any such persons are not eligible to participate and win.
- If station contest involves voting on a website, voting is limited to one (1) vote per person. Station reserves the right to disqualify any person based on multiple or irregular voting at station’s sole discretion.
- If station contest requires telephone or internet participation, station disclaims all liability due to equipment malfunctions, disconnections, or other acts, be they within or beyond the control of station.
- All entries must be received prior to 12:00 AM May 2, 2024, CDT.
- Station personnel shall select any number of entrants to be placed on-air, after which time listeners may submit votes on thex1049.com for their favorite on-air personality. Selection is at sole discretion of station.
- End date of contest shall be dictated by the number of entrants selected for on-air tryouts. Contest shall end no later than July 31, 2024.
- Via participation, each participant and winner waives any and all claims of liability against station, its employees and agents, sponsors and their respective employees and agents, for any personal injury or loss, financial or otherwise, which may occur from the conduct of, or participation in, the contest, or from use of any prize. Winners must sign an official waiver form provided by station prior to receiving any prize.
- Additions or deletions to these rules may be made at the discretion of station, and may be enacted at any time.
- All contest entries become the property of station. Furthermore, station may withhold any contest materials crucial to the completion of the contest.
- All contestants acknowledge, as a condition of entry, that station has a right to publicize or broadcast the entrant’s name, character, likeness, voice or all matters incidental herein.
- Winners are solely responsible for any and all taxes incurred and expenses associated with prizes which are not specifically provided for. Any person winning over $600 in prizes from station will receive an IRS form 1099 at the end of the calendar year, a copy of which will be filed with the IRS by station.
- By participating, participants agree to be bound by the decisions of the station. Persons who violate any rule, gain unfair advantage, or obtain winner status via fraudulent means will be disqualified. Disruptive, harassing, or threatening behavior is prohibited. Any attempt to deliberately circumvent, disrupt, damage, or undermine the contest is a violation of law. Station reserves the right to seek civil and/or criminal prosecution to the fullest extent permitted by law.
- Void where prohibited. Odds of winning dependent upon number of participants.
- Rules provided for by the official rules of a specific contest shall take precedence over any rule to the contrary herein.
- Basic contesting rules and addenda are available for review during regular business hours at the station offices, 1716 W Holly St, Fayetteville, Arkansas.
- Any and all decisions of station are final.
