Queens of the Stone Age cancel Welcome to Rockville set
Queens of the Stone Age are no longer playing this year’s Welcome to Rockville.
A statement posted to the festival’s Facebook blames “unforeseen circumstances” for the cancellation.
“We are disappointed to miss playing for you at such a great festival & apologize for any inconvenience caused,” QotSA says.
The Cult will take Queens’ place on the bill, while bands including Bones UK have also joined the lineup.
Welcome to Rockville takes place May 18-21 in Daytona Beach, Florida. Headliners include Tool, Avenged Sevenfold, Slipknot and the reformed Pantera.
While they won’t be at Welcome to Rockville, you can catch Queens of the Stone Age at a number of other festivals this year, including Boston Calling, Sonic Temple, Louder than Life and Aftershock. The group is also playing a headlining show at New York City’s Forest Hills Stadium in August.
