Arcade Fire joins lineup for 2023 Something in the Water festival
Arcade Fire has joined the lineup for Pharrell‘s 2023 Something in the Water festival.
Previously announced artists on the bill include Machine Gun Kelly, Mumford & Sons and Wet Leg. Third Eye Blind has also been added to the festival.
Arcade Fire’s inclusion may be surprising, given the accusations of sexual misconduct that were made against frontman Win Butler last year.
The allegations were made by four people in a report published by Pitchfork; Butler acknowledged having relations with the accusers, though he maintained every encounter was “mutual and always between consenting adults.” Butler was later accused of sexual misconduct by a fifth person.
Despite the allegations, Arcade Fire still went through their European and North American tours last year, though openers Feist and Beck dropped off their respective legs.
Something in the Water takes place April 28-30 in Virginia Beach. For the full lineup and all ticket info, visit SomethingintheWater.com.
