Third Man Records announces 20th anniversary vinyl edition of The White Stripes’ ’Elephant’
The White Stripes‘ 2003 album Elephant turns 20 this year, and Jack White‘s Third Man Records is celebrating with a new vinyl edition of the record.
Elephant XX will feature a new mono remix of the original multitrack tapes from when the album was first recorded, which uncovers previously unheard studio banter and an extra four bars at the end of “Seven Nation Army.”
The two-LP package will also be accompanied by a 7-inch single featuring Jack’s solo demo version of the Elephant cut “Hypnotize” and a take-one performance of “You’ve Got Her In Your Pocket,” as well as a DVD collecting various live performances, interviews and behind-the-scenes footage.
You’ll be able to get all that through the Third Man Vault subscription service. The deadline to sign up is January 31 at midnight CT.

Elephant will officially turn 20 in April. Along with the hit “Seven Nation Army,” which spawned perhaps the most famous guitar riff of the 21st century, the album includes the Stripes classics “The Hardest Button to Button,” “Black Math” and “Ball and Biscuit.”
